After four generations Honda is ready again to launch its famous Odyssey. 2016 Honda Odyssey is coming to offer us new features and improved performances.
Redesign of interior and exterior
Honda started to produce its well-known Odyssey back in 1994, and now it will bring us fifth generation of this model. According to some sources new 2016 Honda Odyssey will be built on the new wider platform which will bring more space inside the cabin. This five door minivan comes as before- with three rows of seats and ability to accommodate up to seven passengers. New Odyssey will get redesigned chassis and the changes will be most visible on the front part of the vehicle. Front grille will come more sporty than before, with chrome stripes and Honda’s emblem above. Headlights will be completely reshaped, angular and powered with the latest LED technology. Front bumper and fenders will be also reshaped giving to the vehicle more aggressive appearance. On the rear end, just like the headlights, the taillights will be powered with LED technology. Rear door will reamain slider like before. Beside more space inside, new Odyssey’s interior will suffer some redesign and it will be equipped with the latest technology features like larger touch screen display, new navigation system, new dash and steering wheel and many more.
2016 Honda Odyssey engine options
When it comes to powertrain, new model won’t suffer many changes. Under the hood of new 2016 Honda Odyssey we will find the same engine as in its predecessor. We are talking about 3.5-liter V6 power unit which is capable to produce 248 horses and 250 lb-ft of torque. Fuel consumption of this engine is set to 22 mpg. According to some rumors there may be more engine options available as well as hybrid version too. New model will come with AWD and 6-speed automatic transmission just like its predecessor.
Pricing and release date
New 2016 Honda Odyssey will hit the sgowroom floors in fall 2015. Starting price of new model should be around $30,000.
