The new 2017 Subaru Legacy won’t get many modifications in its exterior and interior styling, but it’ll come better and more powerful than its predecessor.
Exterior and interior design
The Subaru Legacy was first introduced in 1990 as a small Japanese sedan, and since that it has suffered so many changes and updates. If we compare the new Legacy with its predecessor, we will find that it will probably come with the same exterior elements as before. These elements are the sheet metal and its external dimensions. But some features will come redesigned and improved. We are talking about the new headlights, taillights, bumpers and some other features. All these features will be enough to make the new 2017 Subaru Legacy better than ever. Interior design of the new model brings plenty improvements. The cabin will be made of the highest quality materials and equipped with the latest standard and safety technology features. Some of these features will be the Starlink touch screen infotainment system, a new backup camera and Dynamic Torque Vectoring for quicker handling. Also there will be and Anti-lock brakes system, Bluetooth hands-free telephone and acoustic connectivity, Air condition, CD player, Power mirrors, Power windows, Electronic brake force distribution and many more.
2017 Subaru Legacy powertrain options
According to some rumors the new Subaru Legacy may replace the old 3.6-liter power unit with the new 6-cylinder option. With this engine we could expect better fuel efficiency and performance as well. On the other hand, we have found out that the new 2017 Subaru Legacy would keep the existing engine- 2.5-liter 4-cylinder power unit with maximum power of 173 horses. As one more engine option there will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which can deliver 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. There are some rumors about a hybrid power option too. The new Subaru will come with CVT as standard and with manual transmission as optional.
